First words rarely happen on schedule. They are usually found inside ordinary phone videos, family chats, or recordings made without thinking about preservation. Start by protecting the original file, then create a shorter working copy for the artwork.
Find the clearest few seconds
Listen for the word, laugh, or phrase with the least competing noise. Keep a little space before and after it so the moment does not feel abruptly cut.
Write down the context now
Record the date, age, place, and who was present while the details are still easy to remember. The artwork may use only the child’s name and the word, but the family archive should keep the fuller story.
Choose a format that can grow with the room
A fine art poster can join a nursery gallery wall, while a framed canvas can move later to a hallway or family room. Avoid making the design so nursery-specific that it loses meaning as the child grows.
